Basic Fusion

This set is the “workhorse” of therapy. Work from beginning fusion to fines detail aiming. Build stability and consistency. Build binocular alignment. This set progresses from very easy to moderate difficulty.

Base-In/Base-Out Jump Duction Slides

These card sets are colored landscape line drawings for testing and training children and adults with saccadic fusional movements (jump ductions). This type of skill is essential to all patients since it comes closest to the manner in which the eyes are usually moved in everyday life.

Bi-Nasal occlusion is used in the treatment of patients with acquired brain injuries which include traumatic brain injury (TBI) and stroke, double vision, amblyopia, esotropia, convergence excess, divergence insufficiency, and visual over-stimulation/confusion. Simply stated, it is used to reduce double vision and direct patients to use their peripheral system, helping them to locate objects and judge distances more accurately, which translates to more stable and secure ambulation for most brain-injured patients.

Used to help determine the amount of nasal occlusion needed. Bi-Nasal Wedge (or Streff Wedge) occlusion is a simple and effective way to eliminate much of the pre-fixation physiological diplopia which appears as a significant cause of patient confusion

Base-In/Base-Out Slides

Cards sets are to be used with the Bernell-O-Scope™ family (BC200, BC200HHTB, BC200HH).

Each set has 8 slides of 3D Fruit and Vegetable characters with saccadic fusional movements (jump ductions). Includes cover with instructions for each set and inside cover with answer key. Both card sets have a back cover.

Base-In series has a prismatic effect from 0-14PD
Base-Out series has a prismatic effect from 3-27PD.

The Vision Trainer can serve as several instruments .

1) It has the same optics as the Bernell-O-Scope, but includes testing and training cards unique to the BVT.

2) It is a light box to both hold and illuminate vectographic and tranalgylphic cards, both fixed and variable-like Dual polochrome. But, it can also be used as a writing board for tracings.

3) It is a white background, posture board trainer, which can hold the red clipboard to allow regular or anaglyph tracings.

4) It is a Cheiroscope which allows right or left hand eye tracings.

The ESC2000 Illuminator Cabinet provides a uniform retro-illuminated testing surface, ideal for clinical testing of high Contrast and low Contrast LogMAR tests, including ETDRS, LEA SYMBOLS®, LEA NUMBERS®, E and C Charts, etc. The cabinet utilizes a pure-white LED light source. This illuminator, due to the use of new technology LEDs, has a much smaller footprint (only 3.0 inches deep) than traditional ETDRS, light boxes. Previous illuminator cabinets use outdated “off the shelf” fluorescent bulbs, which due to the size of the bulbs and short bulb life, require a much larger cabinet (8 inches deep) and are more costly to operate.
