Bernell Focusing Kit

Focusing, or accommodation, is the ability of the eyes to shift focus together to see things clearly at near or reading distances (ideally, the same as the distance between the knuckle and the elbow). Good reading and learning sills in children result when the accommodative system works properly. When it does not, the problem can be traced to three possible areas – how strong, how accurate or how long the focusing ability is. Each of these areas can be measured and improved. This kit is designed to aid in training these three areas. The kit includes a manual with an overview of each area, as well as a series of exercises and goals for training. This manual also includes a daily log for recording the exercises.
