4M SLOAN Revised Chart 1.25 Percentage
Contrast Sensitivity plays an intricate part in everyday life. Testing contrast sensitivity helps to establish a record of what is normal for each patient, since everyone’s contrast sensitivity is unique. After establishing this accurate record for the patient, pinpointing abnormalities will be easier and can lead to quicker detection of vision problems. Abnormal contrast sensitivity results can help detect early signs of diseases such as Parkinson’s, Glaucoma, Cataracts and Glare problems, among many others.

Mars Perceptrix Numbers Contrast Test Set
The Mars Perceptrix numbers Contrast eye chart is unlike many other Contrast tests that merely assess visual acuity using low Contrast targets, the Mars Perceptrix low Contrast test is a true Contrast sensitivity measure that indicates the lowest Contrasts your patients can perceive, rather than the smallest letters they can identify at some low, arbitrarily chosen Contrast. With the Mars test, it is the Contrast, and not the letter size, which diminishes from the beginning to the end of the chart.
