Developed in the early 2000’s, the EYEPORT® was the first FDA cleared medical device intended to improve performances related to vision. Unfortunately, the original model was not produced after 2012. Senaptec Synchrony
The Synchrony uses moving LED lights along a light strip to train responsiveness and anticipatory timing. The tool has multiple modules to provide solutions for an array of training needs. Simply select a module on the app, adjust the settings to your needs and press start. After each session a detailed performance scorecard is generated, providing instant results including a comparative progress report utilizing the Senaptec demographic database. Currently, Synchrony provides the following modules: Timing, Go/No-Go, Chase, Saccade, Split-Motion, and Tennis. More are in the works!
When using the Timing Module, the goal is to stop the moving (green) light as close to the fixed (white) light as possible. After the drill, the user can see where they fare in terms of accuracy. The LED light strip will display the following results:
- White light shows the target
• Green lights show your actual results
• Red light shows the average result.
The Synchrony is controlled with an easy to navigate mobile app compatible with Android phones 7.0 and higher. The Synchrony controller has a built-in button trigger. Other trigger devices such as hand and foot triggers are also available, as well as the Senaptec phone app.

Bishop Alignment Prism Set
The Bishop Dual Prism Alignment System is a new tool developed to provide advantages in measuring large-angle strabismus prior to correction. In strabismus, one eye looks directly at the object being viewed while the other eye is misaligned inward (esotropia), outward (exotropia), upward (hypertropia), or downward (hypotropia). When the misalignment of the eyes is large the strabismus is called “large-angle,” referring to the angle of deviation between the line of sight of the straight eye and that of the misaligned eye. Accurately measuring the degree of strabismus using prisms is critically important when preparing for strabismus correction.

Bernell’s BCFSET2 is a set of random dot stereograms, which can be used with virtually any stereoscope. These stereograms have been designed so that one eye sees a picture with a slightly different set of random dots that the picture seen by the other eye. The disparity in the dots causes the pattern to stand out from the random dot background; but only if both eyes are working together.

The Bernell Functional Binocular Assessment Test booklet, or Bernell FBAT™, is designed as a convenient and portable, anaglyph tool for assessing various aspects of binocularity with many different clinic populations. It can be an effective tool for working with older infants, toddlers, and non-verbal patients who will often grab in the air for the stereoscopic figures appearing in front of the page, demonstrating both stereopsis and localization. Targets present a range of binocular challenges from basic simultaneous perception to more sophisticated stereopsis, Varying target sizes, different fusion locks, and reference targets allow the examiner to probe and categorize binocular aspects of strabismic performance. Design of the test plates was developed in cooperation with Dr. Gregory Kitchener and Dr. Paul Harris based on their clinical experiences working with a broad variety of patient populations.
The test booklets are conveniently printed so that the descriptions, instructions, expected responses, and suggestions face the examiner while the patient is viewing the corresponding test plate. This easy, yet informative, test booklet is a great addition to every practice especially when seeing children, non-verbal patients, or those with strabismus and amblyopia.
The product includes 12 test plates in booklet form with instructions, two pairs of Red/Green Glasses (Adult and Child versions), and two red pointers.
