Accommodation Near Point Rule
Near Point Accommodation Rule is the point closest to the bridge of the nose where convergence and binocular single vision can no longer be maintained as an object approaches. Also known as Accommodation and R-50 Rule, The Near Point Rule measures 50 cm long, 10 mm square, it is engraved with Centimeters, Inches, Diopter Scales, and Duane Age (the mean of the near point of accommodation at different ages according to Duane) with the sliding cardholder.
Made of gray opaque plastic with white figures, the rules are light, easily handled, and are pleasant and agreeable for the examiner and patient to touch. The white lettering on gray makes the markings easy to read.

Translid Binocular Interactor TBI
Translid Binocular Interactor (TBI) application encourages the interplay between both eyes in the visual process. In the case of alternating vision, it can assist a slow change back to simultaneous sight. It can help break down inhibitions in the visual process between both eyes and create new links with a potential for enabling binocular vision. The TBI is especially suitable for those suffering from amblyopia, alternating vision, and suppressions of the visual process.
The TBI light sources flash alternately at an adjustable frequency of 8 or 12 Hz. The TBI lights shine bright enough to be perceived through closed eyelids. After the device has been switched on, patterns and colors can be noticed. Switching between the 2 frequencies produces other stimuli which may lead to a different perception.
