Volk 78D Lens
The is an ideal lens for doctors who regularly cater to populations prone to glaucoma and other posterior pole abnormalities. The double aspheric design and field of view offered by a 78D offers clear and large views of the central mid-retinal regions. This lens offers a high magnification without cutting down too drastically on the field of view. This lens is a popular choice as a general diagnosis lens among doctors who prefer a larger ring size than the more common and smaller profile of the 90D. Dilation is required to obtain optimum retinal imaging with the 78D.

The Volk 90D is the most widely known fundoscopy lens and is to date considered the gold standard in exam rooms across the world. The small profile of the 90D coupled with its optical profile makes it a great first lens. This lens is a perfect choice for general examination and retinal imaging. This lens can be used to get through small pupils for patients who do not prefer or accommodate dilation and as a result is also a popular choice for undilated retinal exams.

Volk 20D Lens
Perhaps the most recognized lens around the world, the Volk 20D is the lens that started the legacy of double aspheric lens design for BIO and is still considered as a gold standard. The contributing factors for this are the perfect balance of field of view and magnification of the 20D. The working distance of 50 mm also makes lens manipulation a comfortable experience for the examiner. This lens is perfect for general diagnosis of patients with a 3x magnification and field of view that allows visualization up to the mid peripheral region. The dynamic examination with the appropriate eye movements by the patients allows viewing of the peripheral retina as well as detailed examination by BIO in the primary position provides a comprehensive estimate of retinal health. Thus, this lens is a great choice both as a first line of diagnosis as well as a high level central retinal examination.

Howell Phoria Card
Howell Phoria Card
Both Near and Far come with a single 6 PD stick prism.
These cards allow direct measurement of the distance and near phorias in real space or with a phorpter. The patient simple has to tell which number the arrow points to. Any odd number (in yellow) shows esophoria while the even numbers (in blue) shows exophoria. An AC/A can quickly be determined with trial lenses.
The reverse side of the near card has a X-Cyl target, and a variety of letter and word targets.
Near card is about 12″ wide.
Distance chart is about 24″ wide.

Racethe8s Visual Learning System
A hands-on, entertaining and visually stimulating activity, Racethe8s™ can be enjoyed by almost any individual. Racethe8s™ was created by Steven Kane, OTR, a Pediatric Occupational Therapist with over 20 years experience.
Racethe8s™1 has two sides, each with a myriad of possible ways to use it. It can be held by the side handles creating a lateral movement of the balls or by the interior handles creating an anterior/posterior movement of the balls. One side of Racethe8s™1 is a more linear version of an 8 pattern, while the other side creates a ‘wiggle’ pattern of the 8 pattern.
Racethe8s™ 2 has two sides, each with a myriad of possible ways to use it. Use the side handles to create movement of the balls. One side of Racethe8s™2 is a labyrinth, an ancient pattern intended to create focus and attention to an ‘inner world’. It has one way into the center and one way out from the center. The other side creates a 3 tracked pattern of the 8 pattern. This becomes an increasingly more difficult activity as you attempt to switch tracks in the middle or make the ball go around only one half of the 8 using a variety of tracks.
There are 3 rubber balls and 1 marble supplied with each Racethe8s track. This is intended to offer a variety of colors, textures and visual stimulation. The rubber balls create slightly more friction in the tracks, while the marble makes the action faster.
