The CSV-1000-1.5CPD is a special test face designed specifically for Food and Drug Administration clinical trials which require the testing of contrast sensitivity at 1.5 cycles/degree under mesopic lighting conditions. The test is also very useful for assessing patients with low vision who require a large angle target for accurate testing.
At the recommended test distance of 8 feet, the gratings test one spatial frequency of 1.5 cycles/degree.

The CSV-1000 can hang on the wavewall, sit on a table or hang from a rolling floor stand. The device can also be used in conjunction with neutral density lenses or trial frames which provide the ability to test mesopic contrast sensitivity, acuity and contrast sensitivity with glare. This Super Vision test includes visual acuity and letter contrast sensitivity (CS) on a single chart. The top portion of the chart tests for acuity vision while the bottom half includes highly calibrated levels of contrast. Chart includes eight separate contrast levels for the most precise contrast sensitivity test. This eye chart also includes a separate optotype sequence for each eye to reduce memorization possibilities. This test is designed for use with the Small 914 Illuminator Cabinet.
