The CSV-1000 instrument is the recognized world-wide leader for standardized contrast sensitivity, ETDRS and glare testing. The patented auto-calibration circuitry provides for standard and consistent test conditions without a hassle. The instrument automatically controls the test lighting to a level of 85 cd/m2, which is the light level recommended for vision testing by the National Academy of Sciences and adopted by the FDA as the required testing light level for clinical trials. Ease of use is one reason why the CSV-1000 is used in eye clinics in more than 60 countries. All you have to do is turn on the device and it is ready to evaluate patients using standardized and highly accurate tests.

The CSV-1000 can hang on the wavewall, sit on a table or hang from a rolling floor stand. The device can also be used in conjunction with neutral density lenses or trial frames which provide the ability to test mesopic contrast sensitivity, acuity and contrast sensitivity with glare. CSV 1000 ETDRS LogMAR Tests
The CSV-1000 ETDRS provides a full range of LogMAR testing (20/200 to 20/10) at a test distance of 8 feet using standardized luminance. The smaller footprint of the instrument allows its use for testing in the typical-size examination rooms, ie 8’ X 12’ rooms. If testing at 4 meters is desired, a different test face can be used with a more narrow range of acuity tested (20/125 to 20/5). To learn more about the CSV-1000.
