HoloLens Augmented Reality Glasses

A hands-on, entertaining and visually stimulating activity, Racethe8s™ can be enjoyed by almost any individual. Racethe8s™ was created by Steven Kane, OTR, a Pediatric Occupational Therapist with over 20 years experience.

Racethe8s™1 has two sides, each with a myriad of possible ways to use it. It can be held by the side handles creating a lateral movement of the balls or by the interior handles creating an anterior/posterior movement of the balls. One side of Racethe8s™1 is a more linear version of an 8 pattern, while the other side creates a ‘wiggle’ pattern of the 8 pattern.

Racethe8s™ 2 has two sides, each with a myriad of possible ways to use it. Use the side handles to create movement of the balls. One side of Racethe8s™2 is a labyrinth, an ancient pattern intended to create focus and attention to an ‘inner world’. It has one way into the center and one way out from the center. The other side creates a 3 tracked pattern of the 8 pattern. This becomes an increasingly more difficult activity as you attempt to switch tracks in the middle or make the ball go around only one half of the 8 using a variety of tracks.

There are 3 rubber balls and 1 marble supplied with each Racethe8s track. This is intended to offer a variety of colors, textures and visual stimulation. The rubber balls create slightly more friction in the tracks, while the marble makes the action faster.

Ignored or undetected problems in the visual system have stopped many athletes’ progress before making it to the professional — or even college levels — and has even ended otherwise promising professional athletic careers. Vision can be conditioned just like any other physical attribute, and the earlier this conditioning starts, the better.

In See to Play, eminent optometrist Michael Peters, who works with many professional athletes and sports teams, addresses every aspect of this vital component of elite athletics. Included are in-depth discussions of all facets of vision accompanied by myriad exercises to help athletes hone and condition peripheral vision,acuity, speed of focus, eye- hand-body coordination, and more.

The purpose of this Sports Rock Set is to combine shifting focus with saccadic eye movements to better stimulate what actually happens in most sports. The instructions include a procedure as one example of how this is accomplished and is the standard procedure for testing. The placement of the charts, the distances and the use of multiple near charts are all variables that can be incorporated into various training procedures based on the athlete’s sport.

The dual horizontal slide holder is an economical option that allows the patient to train in free space, shift accommodation through the paddles and back to the target. By turning the paddles around you can easily shift from base-in to base-out demand, as well as change the 3D target from coming towards you to going away. Perform jump duction training with two different base-in demands or two base-out demands or have top base-in and bottom base-out and “jump” back and forth between the two images.

The clear fixation paddle is 12″ x 14″ made of clear polycarbonate. It utilizes (2) horizontal slide holders that are attached to the paddle via Velcro® connections. These slide holders fit Stereo Optical Vectograms® as well as Bernell Tranaglyphs™, as well as Bernell Clings.
