The CSV-1000 instrument is the recognized world-wide leader for standardized contrast sensitivity, ETDRS and glare testing. The patented auto-calibration circuitry provides for standard and consistent test conditions without a hassle. The instrument automatically controls the test lighting to a level of 85 cd/m2, which is the light level recommended for vision testing by the National Academy of Sciences and adopted by the FDA as the required testing light level for clinical trials. The device can also be used in conjunction with neutral density lenses or trial frames which provide the ability to test mesopic contrast sensitivity, acuity and contrast sensitivity with glare. AcQviz measures the monitor light level and adjusts the level to 85 cd/m2.
The CSV-2000 is the only clinical digital vision testing device that automatically calibrates the monitor lighting so that all testing is conducted at the same light level. This standardization ensures consistent vision test results from room-to-room and from practice-to-practice. Auto-calibration is accomplished through patented technology from Guardion Health Sciences (Parent Company of VectorVision), called AcQviz.
